Uganda Richardson, BSW, LCSW received her Social Work degree from Oral Roberts University, before attending the University of Oklahoma to get her Masters in Social Work. Uganda has a passion for infant mental health and continues to gain training and knowledge in this area.
Uganda Richardson has training and experience working with infants, youth, teenagers, young adults and the elderly. Uganda has a strong interest in codependence work, racial trauma, relational trauma, and intergenerational trauma/historical trauma. Uganda finds her joy and passion in walking with families and individuals regardless of age, while empowering them towards reflective healing.
Uganda feels the best part of the therapeutic process is allowing space to own the process. She takes the stance of “visitor”, along a patient’s journey to healing. She uses a person-centered and reflexive approach while being culturally mindful.
Uganda’s self-care activities: community work, family time, movies full of comedy, reading, music and dancing.
