Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
We are excited that Raven Bentley will be joining Mind Matters, P.C. in February of 2026.
Raven is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Belmont University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Oregon Health & Science University. Before pursuing graduate studies, Raven spent five years working as a Registered Nurse in inpatient psychiatry, caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
Raven was drawn to a career in mental health during her initial psychiatry rotation in her undergraduate nursing program. During that time, she discovered that psychiatric nursing reflected her own values of holistic care, attending to the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of health. Her commitment to mental health was furthered by additional undergraduate coursework in social justice and an internship with a nonprofit that provided adaptive physical education for children with autism.
Raven is passionate about providing patient-centered, evidenced-based care, specializing in psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy for patients ages 6-30. She has a special interest in working with children and their families navigating social and academic challenges related to their mental health. For her doctoral project, Raven developed strategies to increase providers’ ability to help families access academic supports for children with psychiatric diagnoses.
Raven is originally from Nashville, TN and moved to Portland in 2021. She is an avid soccer fan, both as a player and spectator. In her free time, she also enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her dogs.
