Courtney M. Warnecke, DNP, PMHNP

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Hillsboro

Courtney Warnecke is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated with her doctorate from Oregon Health Science University. Prior to her career in nursing, she earned her Bachelor of Science in philosophy from Portland State University with special interest in the ethics of healthcare.

Courtney began working in healthcare at a women’s clinic focused on reproductive issues.  During her time there she became interested in the interplay between the mind and body, which led her to pursue her work in mental health.

During her professional training she spent time working in a community mental health clinic caring for underserved populations with severe and persistent mental illness. She also completed clinical training at Mind Matters where she was inspired by the team’s ability to consistently provide an environment of compassionate care to its patients.

Courtney’s philosophy of care centers around the understanding that quality mental health treatment includes a holistic approach that empowers the patient in their healing journey. She sees clients aged 15 and up with a special interest in helping young adults navigate their mental health needs while grappling with the transition to adulthood. Her other areas of clinical interest include sleep and women’s health. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) and is passionate about helping people improve their sleep quality, and overall quality of life.

In her free time Courtney enjoys spending time with her loved ones and her two Labrador Retrievers, Moose and Olive. She also enjoys hiking, camping, meditating, reading, and expressing her creative side through the arts.
